San Juan Red-on-Tan Stew Bowl with Native Repair, c. 1890

This bowl with its deep rich patina, native wear and repairs and evidence of having been used once as a paint pail (!!) was love at first sight for me! The baling wire repair at the neck was a common remedy for an injured pot. With flaring rim and deep form, this is a sleeper!

Size 6” deep by 10.5” wide
