Major Lucy Lewis Acoma Jar with Abstracted Mimbres Animals signed by Lucy and Delores and dated 1992

According to the owner this was the last jar potted by pottery matriarch Lucy Lewis at age 100! It was painted by daughter Delores with possibly Mimbres style deer against a gorgeous soapy white slip. It is signed is signed with both of their names. Most later Lucy's were small, 3-5″. While this jar shows some characteristic lumpiness and is just a bit lopsided, it is an astonishing 10″ tall by 11.5″ in diameter. At age 100, Lucy was still a more than capable potter. A rare opportunity at a possibly very important jar.
