Exquisite Very Large Santo Domingo Polychrome Dough Bowl with Simple Geometric Designs, c. 1885

One of the largest and most elegant dough bowls I’ve seen. “Deep” for a large dough bowl is usually in excess of 10 inches. This bowl is 13 inches deep and 19.5 inches in diameter. It has a rich surface from years of handling and pueblo home use and a wide underbody red band indicative of 19th century creation. Gorgeous, skillful form for such a large bowl and precisely painted. Rare gem!

Size 13” deep by 19.5” diameter
