Isabel Medina was a master potter from Zia Pueblo, one of the preeminent pueblo potters of the early 20th century.  Her great work, created for the art market are very dear and rare.  Of those, this is a preeminent example.  The jar is adorned with 4 animals: 2 pronghorn  antelope, and 2 dotted birds. Chained negative clouds, ovals and 3 parallel line rain elements are arrayed to a beautiful overall effect. The orange and red wide rainbow bands are distinctively painterly and soft, an Isabel Medina trademark.  This is a 20th century masterpiece.
