Wonderful Cochiti Dough Bowl with Inner Small Bird, attributed to Ignacita Suina, c. 1930
Great example attributed to perhaps Cochiti pueblo’s finest potter of the early 20th century. Deep and beautifully formed with unusual inner rim cloud designs, left unpainted except for a single dot. The small inner bowl bird is a lovely touch. Mirror-like cloud and rain images adorn the exterior of this wonderful early art market bowl. See Batkin p114, 115.
