Laguna Black-on-Cream Olla with Bisected Geometrics, c. 1890

Traditional black/cream with 3 design fields, flawlessly light construction and beautiful historic patterns of water wear. All three design fields feature bisected forms including capped and split, curving triangles in the main body, small bisected rectangles bordered by heavy black bands in a narrow shoulder and larger split rectangles in the neck. Water and ladle wear at the rim are indicative of home use. A classic19th century Laguna water jar.

Condition: Very good with ethnographic wear; original and unrestored condition
