Kewa Dough Bowl with Ethnographic Wear, c. 1880’s

Less said the better on this wonderful 1880's dough bowl in perfect condition. It is decorated with series of old trident like elements that gently compliment the bowls lovely form. The surface wear and patina is indicative of many years of home use, adding the often illusive element of warmth to an already very fine bowl. Wide and vivid under-body band is a 19th century trait as is a similar 3″ band descending from the inner rim.

A simply classic and exceptional bowl.
