Jemez Polished Black Tear-drop Jar with Micaceous Accent by Dominique Toya
Multiple award-winning potter, Dominique Toya, won a 2013 Best-of-Division ribbon for a collaborative piece with pottery master Nancy Youngblood. In this elegant jar, Dominique has married the polished black tradition of Santa Clara pueblo with a micaceous swirl accent, reminiscent of her Jemez work. Look closely at the swirl; some very subtle orange micaceous clay sparkles from within. Another lovely work by this artistically adventurous pueblo potter.
