Exceptional Isleta Polychrome Cup, c. 1910

$375.00

By 1910-20, Isleta pueblo potters in New Mexico were well aware that small potteries could be sold successfully to tourists. They began to specialize in cups. This is a very fine early example decorated with dotted circles and parallel lines. The high angled handle is recurrent and may have been a trademark of a single potter or pottery family. A very fine example, thin and light.
